Vermont Law School, S. Royalton. WUV has received a Partnership Grant from DEC to conduct intensive training on buffer planting and landowner outreach during the afternoon of the WUV spring meeting. We are pleased to work with the White River Partnership, the Poultney-Mettowee Conservation District, and the Vermont River Conservancy who will conduct the training. The training will both provide groups new to riparian buffer planting with the tools needed to start a planting program and also provide more experienced groups with an opportunity to gain new ideas and work through common issues. The training will have a classroom and field component.  We will also offer an additional optional follow-up field day with one of the trainers. Stipends will be available to watershed groups for participation in these trainings. We will have other organizational and technical training sessions in the morning portion of the meeting.
