April 9, 2019. 8:30am - 3:30pm. Waterbury Town Offices. 28 North Main Street, Waterbury. Steele Room. We hope you can join us for a gathering of watershed groups and partner organizations. We will have concurrent workshop options: a collaborative session on stormwater education and outreach and restoring riparian buffers in sites with invasives. Other sessions include financial management for nonprofits, an opportunity for groups to share on successful education programs and a legislative update. Please see the agenda below for more details! Conference is free. WUV will provide coffee and pastries and snacks. Please bring your own bag lunch (or there are some nearby restaurants and cafes).

10:00 – Noon: Concurrent Sessions
Session A: Stormwater Education and Outreach Collaboration: Be part of a group to share stormwater education and outreach tools and materials working towards a shared repository. Facilitated by Gianna Petito, Winooski Natural Resources Conservation District
Session B: Restoring Riparian Buffers when Invasive Species are Present: Chad Hammer, UNH graduate student, Will Eldridge, VT FWD Katie Kain, USFWS.
Noon: Lunch (bring a bag lunch or pick up something in Waterbury)
1:00 – 2:00: 2019 Legislature and Clean Water: Update on proposed changes in funding distribution and status of any funding bill. Discussion on ideas for watershed group engagement in the process. Panelists: Mary Russ, White River Partnership; David Deen, Former Chair House Natural Resources Committee and River Steward with Connecticut River Conservancy; Kerry O'Brien,District Manager for Caledonia County and Natural Resources Conservation Council; Jon Groveman, Vermont Natural Resources Council.
