July 24, 2018. 1:00pm -4:00pm. Vermont State Hazard Mitigation Plan Draft Review & Action Kick-Off. Held at Norwich University. For the past 18 months, the state and many stakeholders have worked on Vermont Stronger: Vermont’s 2018 State Hazard Mitigation Planning process to understand climate change and natural hazards and approaches to addressing them. A draft plan is now complete, and the state is ready to begin implementing these critical steps. It will take a collaborative statewide effort to accomplish these projects, and the Resilient Vermont Network is excited to help coordinate new working groups that bring together resilience leaders from state government, local communities, non-profits, universities and more. They invite you to be part of the action - join a working group, share your expertise, and connect these projects to your work on the ground.
