The Vermont Department of Environmental Conservation (VT-DEC) has secured federal and state funding to provide technical assistance and funding to help Vermont public schools in the Lake Champlain and Lake Memphremagog watersheds with three or more acres of impervious surface comply with the new Three-Acre General Permit. To accomplish this, Greenprint Partners will oversee a large block grant program that will complete stormwater design and permitting work on behalf of schools. Additionally, Lake Champlain Sea Grant will provide stormwater education and outreach to school communities including watershed and stormwater curricula as well as training for students, teachers, and local watershed organizations.
