The WUV and Lake Champlain Basin Program’s Fall Watershed Groups Meeting. Main Street Landing in Burlington. Topics will include analyzing water quality monitoring data, stormwater education and outreach, and preparing for panels and  interviews. More details and registration soon!

The conference will be held November 13, 2018 from 8:30 to 3:30 at Main Street Landing in Burlington. The conference is open to watershed groups, conservation districts and partner organizations.

8:30: Coffee/Pastries/Registration

9:00: Introduction

9:15: Stormwater Education and Outreach Campaigns and Programs. Corrie Miller, Marty Illick, Michele Braun, Marc Companion.

10:15: Break

10:30 Getting the word out: Tips for successful radio, TV, press interviews and panels. How not to be intimidated! Eve Frankel

11:30 Leahy Summit Information and Feedback. Barry Lampke

11:45: Lunch

12:45: Topic Roundtables. This will be an opportunity to have group discussions about what is of interest to you! We will have four or five group discussions -- you can either suggest a topic or join in on the one that interests you most! Bring your ideas!

1:45: Water Quality Monitoring Data Interpretation: Taking complex data and turning it into action and education: successes and challenges. Shawn White, Ethan Swift, Matt Witten, Ben Copans and Kelley Tucker.

3:15: Optional. Act 185: New opportunity to pair natural resources projects with municipal water upgrades as part of the Clean Water State Revolving Fund. Terisa Thomas from DEC. NOTE: It is possible that we will do this session as a conference call prior to the November meeting.
